Is this the only total solar eclipse in 2026?
Yes. The February 17, 2026 solar eclipse is annular; the August 12 event is the year's only total solar eclipse, so the name “2026 solar eclipse simulator” clearly refers to this total eclipse.
Can I simulate the eclipse from my city?

Can I look at the real eclipse without eye protection?
Only during the brief total phase when the bright solar photosphere is completely covered. Every partial phase requires certified ISO 12312-2 eclipse glasses or an indirect projection method.
