Totality crosses eastern Greenland, western Iceland and northern Spain before ending near sunset. These prepared locations use published local contact times; inside the simulator, you can choose anywhere else.
What is calculated, what is illustrated
The simulator is designed to teach and preview the geometry of the eclipse, not replace an observatory ephemeris, weather forecast or local horizon survey.
Local circumstances are calculated from published Besselian elements for the August 12, 2026 eclipse.
